Steve has delivered a wide range of client projects, established businesses from scratch, and had P&L responsibility across a range of blue-chip consultancies and service delivery companies including Accenture, KPMG, Serco and Capita. He founded his own management consultancy in 2007, rebranded as Monro Consulting in 2014.
Steve started his career as a graduate engineer with a 1st class (hons) masters degree in Electrical Engineering from Imperial College, London. He initially worked in systems and technology delivery and quickly broadened his skill set to encompass business analysis, organisation and process design, and project and programme management. He is now a recognised expert in business transformation and change programme delivery. He has delivered large-scale business and technology programmes, led turnaround projects and run a range of service delivery and technology business units. He has helped customers across the private and public sectors to deliver significant performance improvements, cost reductions and major organisation changes.
“I believe that achieving viable organisation change is all about the ‘social sciences’ – connecting with the people, politics and culture of the customer’s organisation. Once the leadership and management are behind the change, all other components – technology, process, assets and organisation – are much easier to fix!”
