Richard has over 25 years of professional experience in management consultancy, line management and programme delivery. He is a specialist in organisation design, process design and change management and has delivered major projects for a wide range of clients, including Roche Pharmaceuticals, Swiss Re, Santander Bank, HSBC, University of St Andrews, the NHS and the London Ambulance Service.
Richard has worked in many different market sectors and in multiple countries, for example: financial services, higher education, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, oil and telecommunications; in the UK, Australia, Nigeria, Kuwait, Switzerland and the USA.
Starting his career in sports management, Richard then moved into business analysis and project delivery. After stints working for Accenture and Fujitsu in the mid-2000s he has since operated as an independent consultant.
His strong academic background includes a doctoral dissertation investigating effective organisations, an MBA and a law degree. He has published a range of academic articles including: “Professionalism as Reputation Capital: Building Strategic Advantage”, The Global Business and Finance Research Conference, London, July 2003; and “Professionalism: The Competitive Edge in Successful Project Management”, Project Management Institute Conference, Wellington, New Zealand, November 2003.
